Synopsis:

Winter 1919. After World War I, a young woman named Agnes and her mentor Jadwiga reach a remote austrian village. Although they are initially rejected and denounced, they help with their medical knowledge. They heal  the blindness of Frieda, the daughter of the sacristian of the village. Frieda and Agnes become closer. So close that the village doesn't want to accept the outrage. In the fight for recognition, morals and social norms, everyone loses.
